FAQ
How do I book classes or camps?
Our summer camp enrolment will begin Spring 2025. There are currently no camps or classes at the Little Cooks Club location until next summer.
To book a private cooking class in your home, please contact us with your desired date and details.
What does a private class look like?
Our 2 hour private cooking classes showcase fun and creative recipes and is a hands-on class, meaning cooking or baking happen the majority of the class. All classes include the following: all ingredients needed, aprons, cooking and baking tools, recipe handouts, complete setup and clean up and photos with family and friends emailed to host.
What do weekly camps look like?
Our 2 hour, 5 day cooking camps run from Monday to Friday. Campers will learn essential culinary skills through a variety of fun activities and interactive lessons. From exploring different ingredients and flavours, to mastering techniques like chopping, mixing and baking, our campers will gain confidence in the kitchen while creating a delicious dish every day. Campers will receive a Little Cooks Club folder at the beginning of camp where they can store copies of the recipes they've made throughout the week and bring their recipes home at the end of camp.
What should my child wear and bring to class?
We recommend that cooks wear socks to class and dress appropriately for a cooking environment. Long hair should be tied back. No loose jewelry, dangling earrings, bracelets or necklaces should be worn.
Please have your child bring a small snack and a reusable Tupperwear container each day of camp and to class so they are able to bring home their cooking or baking. An apron and everything else your child needs for class will be provided.
Is cooking safe for my child?
Absolutely! Little Cooks Club provides adult guidance to create a fun, interactive and safe environment. Recipes and skills are designed for the abilities of ages offered. Age limits are imposed based on safety level, counter heights, attention span etc.
My child has food allergies or dietary restrictions, can you make substitutions or omit items?
We will try our best to accommodate children with allergies. Please email us before registering your child if there is a food allergy or dietary restriction. We will always try to find a substitution for the student unless the recipe restricts it. It is very important that you indicate these issues before you register.
Will my child be learning in groups or individually?
Classes and camps have a specific capacity based on age so that each child gets sufficient attention and guidance during class. Each child will have their own station and set of ingredients to work with during each class. Some steps that require use of the oven or stove top will either be done exclusively by the instructor or in small groups so that the instructor can assist and offer safe guidance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation requests must be made at least 7 days before the start date of your child’s camp session and 14 days before the start of a private class. Cancellations can be made by logging into your account through our enrolment platform here. There are no substitutions, make-up days or refunds for cancellations requested outside the above timeframe.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have 1 parking spot in the driveway in front of the garage, and 2 spots at the top of the driveway. There is also free street parking on the other side of the street. Please pick-up/drop-off at the front door.
Can I stay for my child's camp?
Our camps prioritize cooking within a carefully planned and structured session. Our approach is aimed at fostering connections and trust within the class, therefore we operate on a drop-off basis only. However, photos are taken and sent to parents at the end of camp week.
Do you offer birthday parties?
Yes! We offer private cooking class birthday parties in your own home. Please contact us with your desired date and details.
